Beauty and the Beast

“Be Our Guest” as the most enchanted musical of all time, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast comes alive on the Kiri Te
Kanawa stage, Aotea Centre in June 2021.

Based on the Academy Award-winning Disney animated feature, the stage version features all of the iconic and spellbinding songs “Beauty and the Beast”, “Be Our Guest” and “Belle”, by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice as well as new songs composed specifically for the musical.

This classic story tells of Belle, a unique young woman in a provincial town, and a Prince, cursed to live forever in the
body of a Beast unless he can learn to love and be loved thus breaking the spell. Time is running out for the Beast
and his household objects!

Starring over 250 of the Auckland’s talented young performers from all over the Auckland region and a rocking live band, Beauty and the Beast delivers a magical night out for the whole family.

It is a not-to-be missed, costume -spectacular , magnifique musical about looking beneath the surface and finding
beauty within.

Four public performances ONLY! This will sell fast - don't miss out!

There's lots of great school holiday programmes and fun family activities to enjoy including great fun on the water with windsurfing courses from Madloop, beach, skate and hang out days at Hibiscus Coast Youth Centre, a great Halloween - The Addams Family drama workshop with Artz on Showheaps of glow-in-the-dark minigolf fun with Gloputt Minigolf, family fun with laser tag, VR Escape Room, flight simulator and over 50 arcade games at Silverdale Megazone. If you want the kids to have fun at home but away from their screens check out the range of activity boxes from Playwise.

Head along and try something new with robotics, be it building, driving or coding your very own robot! Kiwibots will be hosting a free-for-all installation for Smales Farm where you can come by and have a play with VEX robots.

Join the team from Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre along with partners for an awesome day on the water with all equipment, supervision and instruction provided for FREE. Weather dependent you will have the option to go sailing, paddle boarding, paddle waka, kayaking or snorkeling. Whilst you wait for your turn, explore the coast with our leaders and look for creatures in the rock pools, make something with Harakeke or do a good deed and help clean the beach! Activities available will be weather dependent!
You'll just need to bring togs, a towel and a sense of adventure. Bring a wetsuit if you have one.
Options for all ages and abilities.
Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult around the water
