St Mary's School is an integrated, Catholic full primary school for boys and girls from Years 0 to 6 and girls only for years 7 and 8 and is the largest of the Catholic schools on the North Shore.
St Mary's School took part in Project ACTIvate, which was a digital opportunities project run by the Ministry of Education. The project was launched in February 2005 by the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon. Helen Clark.
St Mary's was the lead school for this project and we worked in conjunction with Massey University and Envision Presentations Ltd. The purpose for this was to research inveractive whiteboards of which we have 6.

Wilson School is a state school which welcomes students with a wide range of disabilities and special learning needs. Our base school in Takapuna is an award winning purpose built school located in the grounds of the Wilson Centre. We operate several programmes to meet the specific needs of groups of students. We employ Teachers, Teacher Aides, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Language Therapists and Music Therapists to support Wilson School students in their learning opportunities. When necessary we also engage the services of a psychologist.
Approximately half of our students receive their education at Base School at the Wilson centre. Our other students attend a number of satellite classes located in mainstream schools in our local area.
