Our school is a relatively new state primary school in Albany on Auckland's North Shore, catering for children in Years 1 - 6 (5-11yrs). It is very unique, opening on 27 January 2004, with 16 children and 8 teachers, at North Harbour Stadium because none of the buildings on the school site was ready to occupy. Staff and students moved to the current site 4 weeks later, with 18 children!
As the surrounding neighbourhood has grown, so has our school and we currently have 340 students and 17 teachers. Our school community reflects our multicultural neighbourhood and we welcome and celebrate this diversity.
Through ownership students make decisions, design their own learning and unlock and follow their passions leading to ongoing improvement in student achievement. To create children who:
